A celebration of the city’s culture along the banks of the river.
With the vision to take art, crafts, music and dance out to public spaces, The River Festival featured people at different stages of developing their art – from students to professionals, from within Kolkata and abroad.

Past Projects
What happens when residents, local organizations, artists and ordinary citizens come together to transform their everyday environments into art spaces? Could you imagine an art space in a little known mental hospital or through the back alleys of an abandoned colony?
These projects took shape over three months, with each collaborator stepping out to make art together.
In February 2019, they were brought to life, temporally transforming these peripheral corners of Kolkata into a hub of activity.
